Texas Shiner Special
Texas Shiner Special

First brewed to toast the end of Prohibition — because, you know, Texans were real thirsty — Texas Special was made to be a crisp, golden reward. Best enjoyed with good company. And folks across the state did just that, making it a fast favorite, one cold one at a time.

It made the rounds for a while, the kind of beer you’d find at backyard cookouts, roadside dance halls, and anywhere the vibes were right.

Then, like a lot of Texas legends, it dipped out quietly— no fuss, no goodbye tour. Just stepped out of the spotlight like a band that played one hell of a set and figured it was time to let the next wave have their moment, try some things, get creative. Bless their hearts.

Now it’s back for the next round—still brewed at the iconic K. Spoetzl Brewery (yeah, that K. Spoetzl), still only sold in Texas, and still as easy-drinking as ever. Same crisp reward, new generation of good company.

Because some things don’t need reinventing. They just need re-crackin’

Texas Special. Good drinkin’ beer.
